How the performance changes by voltage
As shown left, if the applied voltage is decreased, speed is also decreased. Speed and torque characteristics at a given voltage are parallel to those at other voltages. You can use this for speed adjustment.
Do not operate the motor with voltage above the rated voltage. It may cause heat-up which is very dangerous.
Keep the speed above 3000r/min for a carbon brushed motor. If you keep low speed operation for a while, it may cause a failure of the commutator.
